Fellow Trollers,

 

     Our last meeting was held on the 8th of November at the Watkins Glen Elks Club with 12 members in attendance.  We had no treasurer’s report for this month.  We are sort of wrapping things up this year.  It was a very tight point’s chase and congratulations go to Jerry Perrin as this year’s club champion.  Because we were so competitive this year, with just 11.5 points separating the top seven, we decided that we would forego the Tournament Committee pre-meeting and set our rules and schedule up at our next meeting on December 13th as a group.  If there is anything you didn’t like or would like to discuss changing be sure to come to this meeting or make your thoughts known to someone who is attending.  It really should amount to keeping our rules and just selecting dates for our tournaments.  We will then select a Tournament Committee to cover any protests that may occur at any tournament during the year.

     Our awards banquet will be held at the Decoy on February 3rd, 2007 at 6:00 with dinner to be served at 7:00.  The menu will be your choice of 1) Filet $34, 2) Baked Salmon $26, 3) Shrimp Scampi $26, 4) Chicken Parmesan $25, and 5) Chicken Marsala $26.  As always a club member who participates in the required amount of events will get one free dinner and then pay the above amounts for any additional guests.  I will put a red check at the top of the page if you have qualified for club funding.

     We will also vote for club officers at the December meeting after fielding any further nominations from the floor.  Nominated for officers 2007 so far are: President – Sean Morris, Vice president – Harvey O”Harra, Treasurer – Walt Smithers, and Secretary – Dave Dimmick.

     Also club dues of $20 are due by the January meeting.  You can pay next years dues and pay for your banquet reservations at our next meeting.  You can also call me at 732-7479 to leave your reservation for the banquet.  I have an answering machine that should always be home.  See you at our next meeting at The Watkins Glen Elks Club at 7:30 pm on December 13th!
